Taylor’s Vintage Port 2007

Dark, almost black garnet, opaque core, ruby reflections. On the nose inviting sweet plum fruit, black cherry, plus mineral notes, candied violet from touriga nacional, a highly attractive bouquet with many facets. On the palate complex, very precise and straightforward, fresh black fruit nuances, subtle hints of chocolate, equipped with the usual tannic framework of the house, but perhaps a little less muscular than in more typical years, taut and persistent, equipped with secure ageing potential, complex and persistent. It is displaying a rather fresh, one could say, ʺGothicʺ style.
