Deep, dark, almost opaque ruby-red. The nose closed at first, but the fruit opens to become ripe & jammy. There is a fabulous intensity of well-rounded, red-fruit and blackcurrant on the palate – the fruit is slightly cooked. Coffee & cedar notes add additional complexity. Tannins are plentiful & harmonious. Acid is in balance & length is good.
