The 2004 Vina El Pison has a purple/black color and an ethereal fragrance that only the best wines can achieve. Descriptors such as vanilla, spice box, truffle, wild blueberry, black raspberry, and blackberry liqueur come to mind, yet they fall short of conveying the perfume’s otherworldly essence. It’s sumptuous, well characterized, elegant, and forceful on the palate at the same time. This wine is well balanced and incredibly lengthy, making it a delight to drink today and for the next 40-50 years.
