Perfumed and sumptuous, Fourrier’s 2018 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Clos Saint-Jacques has turned out very well, wafting from the glass with aromas of plums and raspberries, complemented by notions of violets, peonies and blood orange. Medium to full-bodied, deep and multidimensional, it’s suave and seamless, with succulent acids, velvety tannins and a rose-inflected finish. (WK) 94+
